Bassets Bistro, located in the lower ground floor of the building, features a contemporary stainless steel bar, comfy sofas and the original massive Welsh black slate floor.

This is open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings and is the perfect place to sink a pint or a glass of wine whilst putting the world to rights with the friendly locals.

A short blackboard menu of home-made meals and snacks is ideal for light meals and we offer homemade pizzas, which would suit kids who don’t want the more formal atmosphere of Carlton Riverside restaurant.

The Bistro is self-contained, and has its own entrance direct from the River Walk running alongside the building – when you are in Carlton Riverside you wouldn’t know the Bistro Bar was there – many guests have stayed the weekend at Carlton Riverside without realizing they were sitting above a busy bar!
